It doesn't feel like you're playing in a big strip casino when you're playing in that poker room.

The tight locals who like the mini-blinds and high hand jackpots round out that feel.

No doubt, though, it is a good looking room.

I didn't like the fact that the dealers were playing in the games. Being from the east coast I found it very odd and tacky that the dealers would get off of work and come play in the game. Even though most dealers suck it was kinda taboo to me.

Many rooms actually encourage their dealers to play both on and off the clock. Someone once told me to hire as many degenerate gamblers as possible.

1/5th of the Trop's customer base is off duty dealers from the Borgata. Does it really matter if the dealer is playing in the same room, or do you want to force the dealers to play at the casino down the street? You WANT dealers in your game, 9x out of 10 they are the action. In Vegas this is common place, off duty dealers often play in their own rooms - including hotspots like Wynn and Borgata.

I had a friend in-town a couple weeks ago and stayed there. The construction sucks if you are on the Bellagio side of the hotel. The f'ing trucks and jackhammer start up at like 5:00AM.

Outside of that, I've always liked MC. The poker room does not have a lot of action but it is a friendly staff and occasionally the $1/2NL game is fun.

The beer at the Brew Pub is decent and worth a try to.

Played at the poker room once. Lot's of tight whining retired rocks. Casino reminds me of a Holiday Inn - decent for one night if you have no other options but I wouldn't want to stay longer. On the bright side, Andres is an amazing dining experience for this hotel or anywhere in Vegas.

Take your buddies and all your action to the MGM for a well rounded casino experience.
