Um...I'm trying real hard to read.

and pismeyer evidently u've never heard of Stu "The Kid" Ungar
won wsop 3 x's

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes...I know of his accomplishments, and he's a very intelligent poker player. His home town is New York City, he has five (5) WSOP Bracelets, was a professional poker and gin rummy player, considered to be among the best in history at both games. When he was 10 years old in 1963, he won a local gin tournament. By 1974, he was regarded as one of the best players in New York. He is the only three-time winner of the World Series of Poker Main Event tournament (Johnny Moss also won three WSOPs but his first win was by vote of the players, not by winning a tournament). Ungar was found dead in his room at the Oasis Motel in Las Vegas with $800 on him. I liked Stu, very pure poker player.

Good luck with your second game tonight.

Are you like 10? People shouldn't be allowed to play poker until they are at least 16, and can write in coherent sentences.

Also watch out with the beer, don't wanna get the hosts busted for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

No , I'm 18 if you'd read and stop criticizing me. I got 6th last night , i was the youngest one there. My friend was 2nd youngest , he got 3rd (money). But I got 6th without catching many cards, if I'd a caught my friends cards i'd a won or got 2nd for sure. I won 3 pots on my first table to get a 12k stack , on the final the blinds were up to 500/1000 and I didn't catch no hands, every hand i folded would of lost anyways, I played the best I could. basically got blinded out, had to make a move and did with QJh best hand i caught on that table. so i made a move (all-in) a guy called with K3o and hit 2 pr. But I had lots of fun and gained some experience. I am going back next time for sure. and btw if you read my reads on the other people , the long hair bogan guy went out 1st again (loose) , but his dad was head's up with a new guy.
So i did have a good read on both of them. son = loose , dad = tight (of course)

Forget all these BS responses Chris...you are off to a good start working on your game. One recommendation though is to ensure you are playing stack management as well. This is just as important as people management in tournament poker. When you consider a steal attempt, survey the stack sizes of who you have left, then consider the likelihood of getting called. If you build a good stack, try to take over the tournament around bubble time. Play to win it all, not to eek into the money. Also, if you do have good hands at the final table that you raise preflop with, my position is to show the table...not always, but most of your premium hands. Make them fear you so when you want to steal they will throw away A 10, etc.

Good work gathering information on all of these players...you are on the right track. F the haters...

No haters here... I believe it's an interpretation problem?

Yes, gaining a "tell" is important for poker.
