How important do you consider PAHUD to be for tournament play? Do you use it much when deciding whether or not to resteal?

Nice summary of these.

Your chip stack goals are significantly different from mine, but I think they provide a good outline to how one should approach these tourneys.

The only thing I disagree about is "the fact" that the regulars wait until level 7 to start stealing a lot. I don't think this necessarily true. I, for one, base my steals on stacks and the play of the table. I'd rather steal with antes, but I'm definately not waiting around if I don't think I have to. Then again, I really don't think that I play like most of the regulars -- so maybe you are right.

IMO, levels 8 and 9 are the most important of the entire tourney.

btw, while reading this post and all the replies I played a $20/180 and took 3rd, so it clearly is brilliant and guarantees $$$. there can be no other explanation.
