He's been given chances again and again. This is at least fifth time he's been banned. At some point, there's a line.

He broke no rule since the last time.

Since he was banned one month ago for five days, what has he done wrong?

The only thing I see in his recent posting history that would merit this is:

A) him starting a long thread in this forum criticizing Dids

B) him stating his opinion about the intelligence of blacks


While both of those were obviously dumb moves on his part as they were sure to be controvercial at a time when he should have just kept his mouth shut, neither of them seems bannable to me.

I have never met Degen but do know him through Thailand yes. I feel I owe him a great deal, it is because of him that I found this gorgeous and amazing country.

I think the man deserves a second chance. And again, from the looks of it, he was already given a second chance and appears to have been following along with what was asked of him...unless I am missing something...

Well, you don't have all the information and I can't release it to you. The fact is that Degen is not going to be unbanned by anyone in green anyway. If it were ever to happen, it would be up to Mat or someone Mat authorizes. So I suggest you take your arguments there and he may or may not explain the situation. There is however almost no chance Degen will be posting here again in my estimation.

He has a personal bias because he's not going to let you crosspost a non-OOT topic? You crossposting an ATF topic in OOT would not be normal procedure here. You have a personal bias because you want to go against the rules (crossposting in OOT, read the sticky) to attempt to overturn a ruling that was talked over by a ton of mods because it's degen and not some random poster that you don't have a man crush on.
Degen seemed like a cool guy from what I knew of his posts here, but that doesn't mean he get's a license to break any rules he wants.

I just signed up for 2 + 2 because of Degen only to come here and find out he was banned. I'm definitely biased as I know and really respect him, and I truly believe that this is a loss for the 2 + 2 community. Degen invited me to post on his Thailand thread a long time ago, because he genuinely cared that the 2+2'ers would appreciate my story.

I came to paste that post which I finished recently on his Thailand thread. I moved to Thailand 3 years ago, play poker professionaly here, and would have loved to share my experiences/thoughts with everyone.

Yes, Degen is screwed in the head a bit, but aren't we all? Aren't we at least entertained by different/opposing views?
