firewalls
apparently there is a firewall that is blocking me from using [censored]. how do i remove it or allow [censored] to access the internet?
ooops didnt realize i couldnt say anything about p2p services. but yeah thats what the firewall is blocking |

go to the site of the p2p product you are using, and they almost always have instructions on how to make it work with a firewall, as long as you have control of the firewall. If its at work or school or something, good luck.

they usually use a set of ports...one lower range and an upper range for ssl traffic - like ohgeetee said check their website (or google it) and find these ports. The next obvious thing is finding out what firewall you are using - windows firewall 'may' block it, but not always - you could have another installed.

[/ QUOTE ] ive neevr configured any firewall on my computer. the only time ive ever had a problem was with this program and when it was first downloaded it worked for about 2 days then all of the sudden it said there was a firewall |
