Default firewalls

apparently there is a firewall that is blocking me from using [censored]. how do i remove it or allow [censored] to access the internet?

ooops didnt realize i couldnt say anything about p2p services. but yeah thats what the firewall is blocking

go to the site of the p2p product you are using, and they almost always have instructions on how to make it work with a firewall, as long as you have control of the firewall. If its at work or school or something, good luck.

they usually use a set of ports...one lower range and an upper range for ssl traffic - like ohgeetee said check their website (or google it) and find these ports. The next obvious thing is finding out what firewall you are using - windows firewall 'may' block it, but not always - you could have another installed.

ive neevr configured any firewall on my computer. the only time ive ever had a problem was with this program and when it was first downloaded it worked for about 2 days then all of the sudden it said there was a firewall
