Wii game: Sonic and the Secret Rings

Bought the game a few days ago, and so far there seems to be a ton of gameplay.

There are a some traininglevels in the start, but it still took me 30 minutes to figure out you have to hold the Wiimote like a normal joypad (DOH!).

The story mode is great so far, and def. not as easy as I feared.

A really cool thing about the game is that you unlock different skills (Combo moves, better speed and so forth) and can customize what skills you need to equip in different levels.

I have only briefly played the multiplayer mode, but it seems to be a bad version of Rayman with various minigames.

Have only played 4-5 hours so far, but it looks really promising!

What are your thoughts on the game?

I got it from Gamefly on Monday and can't seem to play for more than 10 minutes at a time. The training mode is just so freaking boring. Each level takes about 30 seconds and load times/menu screens are about twice as long. So I haven't even gotten into the actual game and my impression is not favorable. I'm going to give it a few more shots before giving up, but I'd like this training mode to end now.

It's very fun. Love the speed and I like the controls most of the time. It is also fairly challenging in parts. Also has alot of replay value.

I'm about 13 hours in.

I agree with you about the training mode. When I first played the game I was really disappointed because the training mode seemed so boring.

But I really love the diversity in levels/missions, and im just a sucker for games where you unlock stuff [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

It's kind of fun but after a few hours it gets repetitive. Yes, tutorial is a bitch. The controls are still awkward when you have no choice but to run into things, and why is it that you have to STOP TO JUMP? That sucks. Plus I miss jumping on enemies.

Most other wii games I've played have been more fun.
