Yeah I caught that too. Shawn is a piece of work. He's only playing it up for the cameras. He seems a lot more humble in other settings.

The producers must be loving what's happening so far (results as well as on camera action).

producers gotta love the upsets, will make for great tv, especially the women and actors....not good for the poker pros though, because it takes them down a notch from some of their high horses...

Same as it was last year, one would imagine:

1st $500,000
2nd $250,000
3rd-4th $125,000
5th-8th $75,000
9th-16th $25,000

Ooh Wee, Matusow got lucky on the "Grinder". I can't feel anymore sympathy for him about not hitting any cards anymore.

From Pokerwire.com:
Mike Matusow raised on the button and Michael Mizrachi moved all in. Matusow asked for a count, then made the call. Matusow had Mizrachi covered.

Mike Matusow A7
Michael Mizrachi QQ

Michael Mizrachi flopped a set, but Matusow rivered a straight on the KQ610J board. Matusow will play Andy Bloch.

I will post the rest of the results as soon as they become available. Also probably an updated link to the brackets upto that point.

You ever did in the first place? I [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Matusow. When Daniel was sucking out on him left and right in the first match, I was celebrating.

IDK, he gets to me w/ his "...My hands never hold up" bit. Happens to me in the same manner as him w/ some of those beats he's taken on TV.

Have you seen the one he took on UK High Stakes vs. Erik Seidel? His tirade afterwards is classic.
