Is this even profitable? Simple preflop
22 in the cutoff. Button is EXTREMELY tight (Saleem). Unfortunately small blind and big blind are extremely loose. Small is capable of folding bad hands. Big hates folding his blind, especially to me. He also seems to be on complete life tilt for the past three weeks or so and his face is literally red today. Both players are pretty easy to play against in position. In other words I'm almost guaranteed the button, but I have about a 0% chance of taking the blinds right away. Profitable?

Re: Is this even profitable? Simple preflop
I think playing 22 against the blinds who are capable of making loose calls against a blind stealer tends to be pretty tough, especially if they play well post-flop. If they play very straightforward on the flop I'll definitely steal it, but if they're tricky and will raise and stuff I rather just let it go. There are some players who ALWAYS raise on the flop against a blind stealer(me) which means I have to play slightly better hands against them to recoup some equity.

Re: Is this even profitable? Simple preflop
Yeah, sorry. Folds to me in the CO. I feel like 22-33 in late position get me into way too much trouble both online and live, and I'm trying to figure out whether I'm playing them bad when I do choose to play them, or if I'm just plain making a mistake by playing them in the first place.

Fold. Need to have a fighting chance at stealing the blinds preflop to play.

Re: Is this even profitable? Simple preflop
about 6 months ago I started patching this leak. Prior to this I would open raise and start the guessing game.
This scenerio I fold 22-33 almost always now. I am saving bets doing so. only against tight blinds i'm opening with them now. |

same scenario J/10S what's the default [/ QUOTE ] 22 is going in the muck but JT is going uptown so quick it isn't funny and it doesn't matter one bit if it is suited or not. |
