200NL Dont CBet me!
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Turn: ($92) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $60 Villain is quite aggresive from what I have seen. Never limped PF and hasnt got to showdown yet either. Something like 25/25. His range on the flop is likely overcards so and I cold simply call his bet which I would do with higher pairs but with 44 I dont particularly want to see the turn. Hence the raise. I have read a lot about planning your future plays at the start so is C/R flop and then turn bet good here? All being said that turn is a pretty nice card for me but what about an A/K or Q? Should I even get to the turn here? |

Re: 200NL Dont CBet me!
calling 44 here out of position in a shorthanded game is trouble. the few times you make your set are not going to be enough to get value for the times you dont, since you have [censored] implied odds.
and when you dont get a set you're in [censored] position to win the pot through other means. |

Re: 200NL Dont CBet me!
your pair is probably not good because its so small and he bet the flop he probably has an over pair

Re: 200NL Dont CBet me!
The eight is a very good card on the turn for you, the only thing he now can beat with a overpair is a pure bluff (which you have so i think you have alot of FE with that turn bet. If a A, K, Q or jack falls on the turn you should probably slow down though couse only thing he will fold in that case is TT and 99.

Yea, definetely repop preflop here. Also, your flop c/r is too small. Make it a solid $45-$50.

your pair is probably not good because its so small and he bet the flop he probably has an over pair [/ QUOTE ] WTF???? There is nothing in this bet that says this guy has an overpair by betting the flop!!! Hell this is almost a perfect flop for your small pair when you don't hit the flop, and with the villain having the stats that he has, he is c-betting this flop heads up in position every thime no matter what 2 cards this guy has. As played, Bump the C/R up a little more on the flop, and then lead for about 2/3 pot on the turn. |

8-Q-K-A are the best turns to keep bluffing.

Re: 200NL Dont CBet me!
I hate trying to float/take the pot away when I am OOP. Not sure if its worth the risk after you miss your set on the flop.
