Default 99 against a very aggresive TAG.

Villain is 20/17 and is very agrresive. He possibly bluffs a little too much. There was an easrlier hand where I raised KK, he called from the BB, then check-raised me on a flop of Q-2-2, then led the turn. I shoved, he folded.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($212)
Button ($293.65)
SB ($380.20)
BB ($39.15)
UTG ($314.90)
Hero ($215.55)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $7</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $26</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls $19.

Flop: ($55) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $34</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $90</font>

I have a TAG image. I think he can drop JJ/TT here, not to mention his whiffed A-x of course.

Given your description sounds like villain is 3-betting a lot and if he does fold TT-QQ [same hand on this board right?] in addition to the A/x and whatever else he could be 3-betting with [that missed] then it's good.

bloating the pot on flop out of position with an average holding at these size stacks seems wrong.

This play is ok. I like your reasoning.

I'm not really "bloating the pot."

I'm bluffing because a lot of his range should fold. My hand is likely to be the best hand on the flop, but I can't stand a lot of heat, so just ending it here is fine with me.

this is probably a bit better on a rainbow board. as is, he will probably shove AhXh or possibly use the excuse of putting you on the draw to justify all kinds of weird crap.

overall looks solid though.

Isn't the call preflop debateable at all? As played, your flop line should be dependent on how he plays in his RR pots. Just based on your description of villain as "overly aggressive" I'll assume that he's cbetting a wide range here, but I also assume that his b/shoving range here is pretty wide. I take it you're calling a shove and dealing with the variance?

If you put yourself in villain's seat, what can he possibly credit you with on the flop? Surely not AK, as he probably knows you would have 4 bet preflop. 55 and 22 are also out of the question. KK is definetely a possibility, KQs maybe, but most likely AhQh or AhJh. If I were villain, I probably 3 bet shove with any pair here on the flop.

He says on the bottom of his post that his image is TAG.
