i play strangely, how bad is it?

30/60 6-max. villain is 25/18/3.15 decent, but not great.

Folded to villain the CO and villain raises, button & SB fold, I defend my BB w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

FLOP: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, villain bets, I raise, villain calls.

TURN: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, villain bets, I call.

RIVER: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, villain checks.

I got no problem with that. The more interesting question might have been do you call if he bets river (i'd say no, but that play always gives me grief).

Why give a diamond a free river? Expecting to be raised a lot on that turn card?!

yes... by better ace, straight, 2 pair, flush, flush draw semi-bluff, set, and air bluff.

I think I might check/fold the river against non-manniacal opponents... you really beat almost nothing they could have.

Were you specifically scared of diamonds? If he is that tight and your looking to an A and K of diamonds on the board, he doesnt complete a flush on the turn, obviously the river isnt magical, but fire, and fold to a raise because he doesnt loook that tricky.

edited: Also, he may have a better ace, but he would possibly consider folding with the 4flush and u ripping bets...
in any event if he raises, its an easy fold.

so why not fire turn fold to raise???? Lot better than check calling folding river because we dont have a shot at improving and we may have the best hand.
