Re: Odds on all players in National Heads-Up Championship
The draw party is 2night @ Caeser's Palace so we should know the brackets late this evening. Especially since the tourney begins 2moro.
Also, David Williams got disrespected w/ his odds and Jamie Gold worse than Rene Angelil thats funny. Yikes Dags too. Shame. |

Yeah, you can argue about whether Gabe should be 43/1 and Williams at 50/1 but really, that is the neighborhood Williams should be in compared to the rest of the field. For this tourney reading skills are foremost. Williams has skill for sure but he is way more a react player then a read and react player. |

Re: Odds on all players in National Heads-Up Championship
Here we go. Bet365 have priced it up but they haven't priced all of the markets and match-ups (just most of them).

[/ QUOTE ] Jennifer Tilly a favorite over 1/4 of the field? (including Gabe Kaplan, Nam Le, Chad Brown, and Brad Booth?) |

Yeah, crazy innit? Can't complain (don't tap on the glass!). Just take advantage of the lines if you can spot the value.
Shame there's only a handful of match-ups on offer. We're close to the witching hour and no other book has seemingly stepped forward (I'd even take a look at the odds over at Bodog!). |

Re: Odds on all players in National Heads-Up Championship
the odds are calculated with (betting) popularity taken into consideration just as much as skill rating for a given player.
jamie gold's short odds are to do with the fact that he's a big name. the same with phil ivey - although he's also very good at poker. if a lot of people are going to bet on player x, they'll shorten the odds to cover their asses. |

stereoman, do you have a link to these odds? I'd put $50 on Booth and Greinstein given these odds.

Re: Odds on all players in National Heads-Up Championship
This is ridiculous lol.
Antonius, Ivey and Jdags should easily be top 3 of that group. |
