Winstar - How early to arrive

I noticed they don't allow sign ups till 9:30 am on Saturdays. What's the line like right at 9:30? Ridiculous or what? Are people camped out?

Any help appreciated.

Although ive never been there when it opened, especially not on the weekend, im sure youve got the right idea. There is a huge waitlist the rest of the day.

FYI, i've been going lately and showing up around 8 pm on fridays after work. never had to wait more than 20 or 30 mins as long as the showroom is open. decent hotel for 39.97 including tax about 10 miles south if you want to play saturday as well. last friday i went and the 10/20 was playing like the usual 4/8 on a saturday afternoon. the variance is tough to stomach, but if your cards hold up, you'll be looking at an easy 800-1000 for 5-6 hours.

on that note, the trip was a moral victory as i went down 700 in the 10/20 before cashing out down 63.

I think my opinion is colored by the amount of dead money that stays home in Dallas.

Today is Thursday and I showed up at 10:30 this mourning and had to wait 1.5 hours before I could get on a 4-8. They didn't have all 15 tables open yet and were waiting for more dealers to show. I was 2nd on the list when I got there and was 2nd when they finally opened up more tables.
