I sent an E-mail to Virtual Visa support - said they would get back to me in 24 hours. I will advise as soon as I find anything useful.

Here's what I got regarding the VV situation

[ QUOTE ]
Dear Customer,

I apologize for the delayed response, but unfortunately we have temporarily removed the VirtualGift option from our website. We're currently experiencing some issues with people trying to fraud us, so as a protective measurement we have temporarily removed the VitualGift option. We're hoping to offer it again once we have everything straightened out. If you have any other questions please contact us again. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Christopher Wargula

Do I believe this story entirely? No.
Do I believe the VV option will return eventually? Yes. It had better.

Oh, indeed the Virtual Visa deposit option came back, but brought with it are some annoying characteristics: a $4.00 purchase fee, up from $2.00. Also, the maximum load is now $250.00, down from $500.

Welcome back, I guess... still looking for cheap ways to deposit.

Most annoying characteristic being that they won't actually let you purchase it. See trip reports by me and a couple of other posters in other threads basically saying that they process the order for about eight hours and then cancel it for inactivity.

Yeah, they don't take your money. But I'd like to have back some of that time I wasted jumping through the hoops to try to buy it.
