Oh, and if, as you say, your preflop cold call looks like AK (are you that predicatble? Does he know your that predictable?), then a whole bunch of those hands you mention bet the turn to feel you out, and then bet the river because the fourth spade didn't fall.

I think Captain lagtard would show up on the river a lot more with a 57,jx type hand than with AK.
