Re: Cat Microwave Question More Explicitly Stated

I'd cut off his penis too. A willingness torture animals is actually one of the best indicators of homicidal tendencies. [/ QUOTE ] Probably THE best, if you mean serial killers/sociopaths. So, what is the likelihood this guy is going to kill someone some day? 1%? Far less? |

Re: Cat Microwave Question More Explicitly Stated
I had a conversation with a classmate over twenty years ago, he was completing his masters degree in philosophy and went on to be a judge for a short while. He had about 20,000-30,000 philosophy texts in his house/storage.
He said something relating to the nature of your questions as being a waste of time--I can't recall exactly how, vaguely perhaps about confusing value issues with quantifications/price/calcuations... Anyhow, this is another question I came upon on a poker site: http://lifesabluff.com/interviews/sebok-rq.php 'LaB : Inspired by a recent question posed by a college student on the internet..... How much money would it take for you to kill a puppy with your bare hands? Sebok: Wow, I would have to say that this one just ain't worth it. I'm a dog lover and grew up with them constantly around me. I just don't think I could do it. Alright, you got me, like $50,000. Kidding! I wouldn't do it! Ever!' |

Re: Cat Microwave Question More Explicitly Stated
considering i eat animals and wouldn't be morally opposed to killing them for sport, i'd think the answer would be in the region of $2500, probably quite a bit less if i was short on money.

does the cat have 9 lives or just 1? [/ QUOTE ] LOL I definitely kill the cat, although I'd feel bad about it. |

I would gladly vote for the person to lose not only his hand, but his life, to save the cat from being killed.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that question is really just asking you, how much money do you have? If you don't have enough money to eat, you can probably replace 'puppy' with 'human baby' and the answer will still be 5 bucks. |

Re: Cat Microwave Question More Explicitly Stated
I would not stop him from microwaving the cat if it meant loss of his hand.
I don't know why. Do you see why? |

Re: Cat Microwave Question More Explicitly Stated
The way your question is framed, the answers will be more about hating and punishing sickos, than saving the cat. And most of the responses are not genuine. Very few people would arrange to have a person's hand removed, even a psycho's.
My answer is the same as the other thread - no more than part of a toe or finger. The cat fries. And I'm a vegetarian. |

And most of the responses are not genuine. Very few people would arrange to have a person's hand removed, even a psycho's. [/ QUOTE ] Seriously? If I knew for a fact that someone was going to torture/kill a cat by putting it in the microwave, I would gladly press a magic button to have that person's hand removed, or much, much worse. People that torture and kill innocent, living creatures for [censored] and giggles don't deserve to walk the earth and those creatures deserve to be saved from such treatment. Every day I realize that I am severely out of touch with reality. I read the subject line of threads like this and assume the sentiments of posters will fall in line with what I feel is an easy decision. Then, I read the thread. Then, I want to crawl into a corner. |
