Re: Lightning Poll: Local Administrator Access at your job
I took a break from work for 3 years recently, and now I'm consulting so that doesn't count (I always use my own machine).
Before that, I worked for about 7 years in a couple different dev positions and was never in a situation where I didn't have full rights to my own machine. |

Yes, I have local admin access to every computer at work. As part of my job I act as our IT director.

[ QUOTE ]
Trying to quickly collect some data. How many of you have Local Administrator access on your work workstation? Where do you work and what kind of work do you do? Please specify if you work in IT, because this IS relevant. [/ QUOTE ] I'm a call center drone with local admin access to every Windows box in the company. |

Re: Lightning Poll: Local Administrator Access at your job
I have ninja access.
I'm not supposed to, but I do, because I have a friend in IT who gives me the admin password whenever they change it. |

Yes @ last job. Undergraduate research (software / EE stuff) at university research facility. I had to bother the sys admins to get it.
