i had a 1977 red (think oxidized orange) chevy chevette.
sung to the tune of little red corvette by all my h.s. friends of course. "baby your much too fast" given to me by grandparents, helped me overcome the have to have a cool car to get girls stigma at a very young age. i took this car all over the state by myself to play tennis tournaments from age 15 on, with a boom box tucked between the seats for tunes (the am radio never really worked) i got soaked driving it home in a rain storm when i found out the floor boards had rotted out and a puddle came flying up through the bottom of the car. i traded it into a dealer for $150 dollars when i bought a 1991 toyota celica in college. the dealer got ripped off. cheers. Is that a Bonneville? I actually liked those early-mid 90's Bonnevilles. If you trick it out and tint the windows and throw a nice system in there it's even better.

I banged four chicks in my Kia, and got head from numerous others.
How much action did you get in the first car? |

In 1982, my first car was a 1971 Plymouth Fury ex-police cruiser, handed down to me by my foster dad, who was a deputy sheriff. It had been his patrol car in the early 70s.
Four doors, olive green, black vinyl roof, 7 mpg (sucked, considering it was the first time gas was over a buck a gallon), and went through three starters in the year it was mine. However, it had a back seat the size of a Greyhound depot, and I lost my wee cherry in that ride...good times. |

1973 Plymouth Scamp. It came with a 318. We took that out and put a 360 with 2 4bbl carbs, a high duration cam, big port heads, headers, etc etc. Then we took that out and put a 440 bored .060 over 2 thermo quad 4 bbl carbs, etc etc.
Man do I miss that car. I spent all my money that I made working at Captain d's and the money I made selling candy at school on that car. |

When I moved to the US in 1994 I promptly got my drivers license, and my host-family pretty much gave me the old beater of the family, a 1983 Toyota Tercel. No power-steering, no power to speak of, but very reliable. This bad boy lasted me for about four years, after which I went out and bought my first real car, a 1998 Honda Civic Coupe, which then lasted me about eight years.

'87 Toyota Camry. It had about 110k miles on it when my uncle gave it to me for my 16th bday and I drove it for about 5 years until it mostly died. We gave it to one of my dad's employee's and he fixed it up and drove it around for a while. It was a great little car, never let me down.
'93 Toyota pickup truck. My dad gave me this when the Camry died. It was a solid truck as well. I drove it for about 6 years and got it up to about 135k miles. My dad still has it and drives it around on occasion. '05 Inifiniti G35. The first car I bought on my own. It is nice to be a lawyer and have some money. This car is badass. Not quite the sentimental value of the other two cars, but this thing is sure fun to drive! |
