Default Beat: Grampa Died

Passed away at 8PM tonight. He wasn't doing well in the hospital since around Christmas, and was steadily getting worse. Tonight he's gone.

Sorry bro. Were you close. I hope this hasn't been to hard on you. However, this too shall pass; eventually, everything does. Good luck, bro.
All my love and support,

We were close, although I only saw him a couple days a year (holidays), and he was actually a step-grampa. Thanks for the support.

Worst beat:

My grandfather on my mothers side died when she was 9.
My granfather on my fathers side was in a vegative state for ten years before dying.

Condolences to your family.
Also apoligize in advance if this post sounds rude in anyway. Death is the worst bad beat.

Sucks man. My grandpa died two weeks before christmas while back east with my parents. They came home from work and found him dead in the bathroom. He slipped and hit his head and had died earlier that morning.

Sorry for your loss DM. I know with 60+ views and 3 replies a lot of people will not reply to this thread because they do not know what to say... so they will opt to say nothing at all. This doesnt mean people dont care.. they are just quite literally stuck for words.

Death is tough but you should celebrate your grandpa's LIFE, believe me when I say this is what he would have wanted!!!

After the funeral/wake when you see loads of his old friends getting drunk together and sharing stories of how he lived you will feel better. Say your goodbyes & everything you feel if you can get a few minutes alone with him.

Time is a healer, support your parents and be proud.

Sorry to hear OP, remember all the fun times with your gramps, you sound like you at least have some to remember.
