Hand one - easy fold, he has a queen, queen ace most likely. The check on the flop, the partial pot bet on turn and bigger bet on the river suggest he wants to milk 10a or jj kk aa.

Hand two - easy call for all the reasons stated by others, he most likely has overpaiir.

That's what I was thinking on the first hand. The guy probably wanted a check/raise on the flop or was just plain slow playing. It's possible he was on a bluff, but that would depend on my read and the kind of guy. As it stands, it looks like a QX crap.

The second hand I don't like, but I think I would have to call against a laggy opponent.

Results?

If I somehow found myself in that situation, played the hand badly on all streets and then had that river to face, I think I am folding.

i dno why u guys think he played the hand badly. i think he played it just fine, and i have a strong feeling that he was right on this one, and wrong on the other one.

ehh.. online i call, live i probably bet the flop and give up later on.. you'd be surprised how passive people play the flop when someone makes a big raise into several people

and to add to my post...if he's as bad as you say, then in hand 2 he could easily be doing this with AQ of clubs.

K, so first hand I really wasn't too worried about. It felt like a pretty stndrd c/c @ the time, and the more Ive analyzed and talked with others the more I agree. I pretty much posted the hand b/c of its pertinence to hand 2, and I didnt want to give results to hand 1 b/c I felt like it would bias answers too much. Hand 1, I c/c river and he sheepishly turned over 44 for a bluff.

Hand 2 I feel like is the closer one, and I was really unsure whether I could call with bottom set. Most of the responses seem to be call, but some of the my most respected buddies also said fold, so Im assuming its just a pretty tough hand. Results, he ended up having JJ. Fun.
