Re: 50NL AQ in the BB
If AQ is likely to be the best hand vs this villain's raise in this spot, then reraise to at least $10. This will put a squeeze on a loose raiser and if he folds, the guy behind him will usually fold too. If you get a caller, then lead the flop for normal continuation bet on this flop and hope you didn't run into a big hand. Most times, you'll take it down with the cb on this flop vs one opponent.
If AQ is not likely to bet the best hand vs this villain's raise in this spot, then fold. I'm not sure cold calling OOP with AQ is good. You have to check/fold 2/3s of the time when you miss, and you have to play OOP with TP2ndK 1/2 the time you flop top pair. The only relatively safe flop is Qxx which you then play OOP without a good read no just how good villain thinks his hand is preflop. Since villain is very loose with limp/calling, but only raises 6% of the time, I don't think AQ is likely to be a good reraising hand this time. So fold preflop. |

Re: 50NL AQ in the BB
If we think AQ is ahead of villain's range but don't want a big pot OOP is calling pre then an option?
I'm mostly leaning to what Albert said and will fold AQo against a PFR 6% kind of guy in the blinds. As played on the turn when he bets so weak you have to raise him as there are 2 FDs out. |
