Default JJ Deep into 5+R

I have a decent chip stack deep into a 5+R. What is the best play with JJ after a raise? Call and re-evaluate after flop, re-raise, or shove?

it has to be push or fold, no? i don't know if this is such a good time for a stop n go b/c the raise is coming from someone in early mid position who likely has something decent that you would rather not let see a flop. i would have a hard time laying down JJ here unless MP1 was a total nit, and even then I may call.

I stick it in here. After you call, the pot is over 100,000 and you have 350,000 behind so you can increase you stack by a significant proportion by just getting him to fold. If you are called you are only in trouble against a higher pair but MP1 opening/calling range is going to be much wider than this, so all in all, a pretty good spot.

Im allin.

I can't see folding as an option, so how about a re-raise instead of shoving?

because you just about pot commit yourself to seeing the hand to the end anyway by re-raising, so the end result remains the same. Shove

This is a preety easy push considering villians stack size, although because I think this is a disagreement I'd like to mention that if you were closer to even in chip stacks I just smooth call...

This case is Insta-Push...

reraise to what? You can't reraise and fold, so if you reraise to X amount instead of push it would be to maybe rep a bigger hand, but honestly i just shove - 88/99/TT can def call thinking you have AK, and if he has QQ+ so be it.

I was hoping a re-raise might induce him to fold an AQ or AK. I did not want to race. After my re-raise of 3X his raise he shoves in the rest of his chips and I call. He shows AQ and wins with a Q on the river leaving me short stacked. For this specific hand my best bet might have been to call and re-evaluate. A c-bet by him on the flop might have let me get away from the hand with more chips in my stack and a check and then c-bet on my part might have won the hand.

calling and re-eval sucks cuz theres an overcard 95% of the time and you don't have a set. Stop being scared.
