Re: tough spot AK
This is a fold.
With a drawless flop, villain is almost always ahead of you here. Turn makes the board a rainbow, so villain isn't afraid. I probably put him on AQ. If turn/river are blanks, check behind on turn, call river. |

Re: tough spot AK
he almost never has AQ here - he has a set almost always and Axs that flopped 2pair/AK the rest of the time I think..
river is a fold. I fold the river vs those players unless I improve. TPTK is a small pot hand - this isn't a small pot - and guys that tight aren't bluffing much. how many hands of info have you got ? what do you put him on? |

Re: tough spot AK
Generally when i get in this situation (someone calling out of the blinds when i raise PF and get a call from the button or CO) the sb usually has something like a set.
He had great odds to call and since you were the PFR checking to you is almost always going to get a bet AND a call (important to justify the c/r) from at least AK...if you're sitting on AQ or AJ it's most likely you'll be unable to fold it on the river. I like his shove there with something like...a set of 7s. KJ is almost completely out of the question as your holding because you bet an A high flop w/ two callers one of which is to still act behind you. I'd probably check behind on the turn as well and c/c river to anything but a push. As is...most likely fold. |

Re: tough spot AK
I call the river if turn and river are not broadway.
As is, you are only beating AJ. NH. |
