If I remember correctly there was something at Party where you win 6 straight sngs and you recieved an enormous prize. Similar idea, slightly easier to finish top 2 than win but its still insanely hard. Not to mention how you must feel after losing a few hundred in a row, its not like sngs where you are making money in close to half. I personally dont like cashing 1 in over 1000.

Ths is the format:

$5.50 buy in, top 3 advance to $25 buy in round 2. top 2 advance from that and 3rd gets another round 2 entry. In round 3, top 3 advance, 4th gets a seat back in round 2. round 4, top 4 advance to finals, 5th gets a seat back in round 2. Round 5 (final) winner gets $3,000 second gets $1200, 3rd gets $900, 4th gets $400 and 5th gets a seat back in round 3. I think this format is pretty good as you dont need to win ever to get paid well on your $5 investment. I played it yesterday and I'm waiting on a round 3 table to fill up. Round 1 and 2 were soooo easy to finish in the top 2. You of course need to avoid the donkey all in's at these levels but im interested to see how good the round 3 players are. I will update my journey later today but I think its not bad, we will see.

I have never understood any form of steps tournaments, including sattalites.

Yeah you could turn $5 into $12 million or something, just like in a lottery. Lotteries have lots of participants, so I guess there is a market for these things.

Wow, no one see's this as being possible profitable. What about buying your way into the final for $550 + 50? Top 4 get paid and odds are you are up against someone or more that has won their way through but is not up to the capabilities of this high a buy in? Lets not all get so down on this format until you really think about it. Its definetely not easy to win 5 in a row, but a couple seconds and a couple 4ths and you turn your $5 into $1000....not bad.

These rounders have no rake until level 5. And you can build a bankroll of tokens at the lower levels before taking a shot at the top. It takes a long time to realise any real cash, but they can be very profitable due to the low rake.
Bones, maybe you should get the facts before you start typing in capitals.

Can't see how any confusion would arise from the clear and concise posts of OP.

The only problem is they dont have a lot of action. I am waiting for a 3rd round table and its been over a day. If I ever get into the 5th round i'll be happy, 2 more to finish in to get there.
