I read an interview (can't find the link) with UraMin management team and I was impressed... Pretty agressive plan for the upcoming years. They are operating in Namibia like Palladin (PDN.TO) and Forsys Metals (FSY.TO). Personnaly, I prefer FSY.TO as it is similar to both PDN and UMN but is has a smaller market cap. and I believe it has a better upside. They will also spinoff their non-uranium assets this year which is a bonus. But UMN should do just fine (like a lot of U companies).

The last 2 weeks were fantastic for anyone holding uranium stocks. I just went through my watchlist and noticed that the companies that have a land in the Otish Basin (nothern Quebec) outperformed the others. So I would definetaly keep an eye on these companies as it appears to be the most promising exploration play outside of the Athabasca Basin... Look at these compagnies for the last 2 weeks:

Pretty crazy stuff!! I own DIT and it went up 70% last week

The only way to define risk is via position size in these stocks. This is because you cannot define risk through stops on these securities.

Therefore, to add U308 exposure, you must broaden out into more issues, instead of adding to existing winners.

Try to keep your position under 2% of your total portfolio, and if you want 30% (overweight) exposure in U308, that means you need to buy at least 15 good-quality names.

Watch the picks from this poster, he might have the gift.

One of his picks is up over 100% on 4X normal volume since this post on 2/19/2007. Other picks are solidly in the black.

The whole sector is on a tear, but still come on, this is an incredible call.

Warning: always do your own due diligence before you invest or send money.

I like DIT a lot but I sure didn't expect such a quick raise.. I bought at 0.70 because I believed the stock was very undervalued and I guess I was right :-) I sold half my position along the ride (1.60 & 1.87) and I'm keeping the other half for the long term... DIT is up 225% in the last 7 days

What's happening right now is that investors are putting their money in exploration companies which own good properties but who have yet to find any uranium.. It is risky but the potential is enormous when you get in a company before the exploration begins. Just remember to take some profits with the small companies when they move up.

Today I bought ESO.V @ 0.98 and i believe we will see 1.50$ sooner than later. Breaking out with a huge volume and it has some fantastic lands in the Athabasca Basin close to the biggest uranium mines in the world.

For those who don't want to gamble on these penny stocks, EFR.V is a superb buy today!! It has been on my watchlist for 2 months and I got in this morning as it took off on huge volume. Here's an interesting read concerning EFR potential: http://www.resourceinvestor.com/pebble.asp?relid=25557

When I wrote a short post on Uranium in early Dec 06, most people seemed to disagree with the assessment of U308, the need for it and investing in it.

Now it seem like people have changed their minds... especially with the runup over the past few months...

Not just U stocks, all mining companies are taking a pounding:

from times:

[ QUOTE ]
London's mining shares were hit hardest, with Xstrata, Anglo American and BHP Billiton all down more than 4 per cent. That followed South Africa’s Business Day newspaper report that a task force set up by Trevor Manuel, the Finance Minister, had recommended that the Government impose a windfall tax on excessive profits at mining companies.
