What buy-ins ? less than 6.50 is a push . 16 or bigger we can create something (reads based) . For example : If a regular open with 200 @ 25/50 you only are beating AQs .

In a $16 I'd call and let someone stack off TP worse kicker; shoving seems like it folds out all the stuff we're crushing and invites coinflips.

My default is to call at the $16. You usually get paid very well when you hit. |

However just like in chess, tactics trump strategy. You must push here because of the pot overlay, and AK has tremendous equity against the wide range of hands that the average $5 villain is going to call you with. |

And yes, you should push AK, because that how you get most value out of it. I saw so many ridiculous calls with K8 and other stuff , which don`t pay you off, if they wiff... |
