Default PokerWire Podcast First Episode Review

With all the alleged censorship on CardPlayer about this show it was finally interesting to hear the first episode.
If CP is really censoring discussion or mention of the show that is just despicable.

I tried to listen to the first 3 or 4 episodes of the post Scott, Gavin, Joe "The Circuit" but it is just a borefest and I gave up.

As with their CP days the guys just have a chemistry that works. Things flow and don't seemed forced like other shows. Nothing like two time bracelet winner Jeff Madson reading the news.

The magic from the CP days seems to still be there. The Sandy The Degenerate segment was great. Allen Cunningham interview was great.

Keep up the good work guys I look forward to future episodes.

Nah, CP mods objected to links (can only be expected. ..y'know to protect 'The Circuit' and what not) but discussion of other radio shows in the forums were fine. The mods probably said that through clenched teeth.

Yeah, not a bad first show at all. The 58 minutes seem to fly by.

Just finished listening to it. The new show didnt miss a beat. I echo the sentiment about their chemistry, they picked up right where they left off. Also Madsen wasnt too bad either.

But Madson needs to give credit for all his sources if he's going to read them (He did credit the NYT for the Gold article but I could have sworn the TDA piece was a reading from PokerNews, which could have just been a reprint of a TDA Press release.) I still think Sebok loves the sound of his own voice too much, but they did keep him on a leash which was nice.

The guys coming back made my day.

The old circuit was one of those 'special' things it was so good, the chemistry was just right, it would have been a broadcasting tragedy if it did not continue.

Needless to say there is no reason to listen to the new circuit any more.

The charm and/or magic of this team is lost on me, especially in these 2 new shows. Cunningham was interesting, but the rest of the 2 shows seemed like amateurish crap to me.

They won't be truly back until 'Spanish' Mike Sexton puts in an appearance.
