Looks like that 3rd event or whatever is a $20k USD entry fee.

Anyone think a lot of the big name US pros will go over to play in that one?

Good way for Harrah's to make up some money they'll lose for having less players at the "regular" WSOP.

This move by Harrah's was EXPECTED.

The WSOP needs to establish itself in Europe.

If and when Harrah's gets a big enough building in Europe (either the Manchester supercasino if Harrah's were to win the bid, or the new Caesars properties in Spain or Slovenia), one should not be surprised if the WSOP itself were to move to Europe so that Harrah's can take offshore online gaming advertising money again.

As for whether American pros will be going: there will be bracelets, and there will be TV (one would guess that NewsCorp, with its Sky Sports networks, would be the logical choice to be the host broadcaster. That might open the door for NewsCorp's FSN to have the U.S. TV rights.)

Hmmm. This throws a spanner in the works of Ladbrokes who planned to make their Poker Million event into some sort of 'rival' against the WSOP.
