Default NL hold em

I have been playing poker for about a year now, online for about 8 months and believe i am beginning to understand the game, however i know there is always room to improve. I have read Phil Gordons books and felt they gave me a good introduction to the base concepts of the game however they are rather light. I am looking for about 2 books i can purchase for each type of play: cash game and tournaments. Since there is so many poker books out there im just looking for any recommendations. Thanks.

PS. I'm only interested in No limit hold em.

Get Harrington on Hold'em vol 1&2.

Yes, they are both on tournaments. However, the early stages of a large, multi-table tournament, when the blinds are small in relation to the stack sizes, play just like a deep stack cash game.

Bare in mind HOH1 focus' on full table of 10 people.
There are currently no good books on short handed cash games. HOH2 is tornament end game only.

Both books are great.

Except for the risk of ruin, right? Moves like shoving all in on the flop with a multi-purpose draw might be right in a cash game but wrong in the early stages of a deep stack tournament. Or so it would seem to me.

hoh vol 1 , once you can shade out the tournament implications, is fantastic for nl cash games.

Can someone create a sticky for NL books?

This question gets asked a couple of times a week and always the same responses. Just sticky some reply ahead of time and delete all posts asking this question. The people asking this will never learn the search function because invariably they are new to this site.
