Re: 400nl, River bluff check/raise vs regular
catcher,
I think youre right. Now that I think of it, villian is almost never checking behind the flop with a vulnerable mid pair type hand, so we cna rule that out. He may have whiffed, or have a non-vulnerable hand like a set or AQ/KQ. On the turn, he could have picked up a flush draw, or hit something cheesy like 7xs. But with those weaker made hands, he's not going to value bet the river. So he either has a trips+, or air. In retrospect, a river check/fold looks best. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] What, so you put him on a heart draw? [/ QUOTE ] some people are going to disagree with me but I like this play much more if we have air. his hands are the occasion slow played set (not ver often), a missed turned draw, and a thin valuebet with A7+. so whether you should fold raise or call depend on how often your hand is good anyways and how often he is valuebetting a better hand that will fold to your CRAI. My point is turning 55 into a bluff is only profitable if you make valuebetting hands fold way more often than you expect to call+win (has to be approx. 3x as likely). I save these bluffs for really really good spots, or for when I determine that a CRAI bluff is slightly +EV with something like 5h6h when I think random crap like KhJh fills enough of his hand range. [/ QUOTE ] i meant that it makes no sense because i am equating 55 to air here; you are including heart draw in the range which means that even if hearts hit we are still not good which is why this makes no sense to me that u like it better with 56hh [/ QUOTE ] This is so scrambled 55 is NOT air here. |
