Chicago >>> New York > L.A.

Chocolate is gross alone - it's only palatable when combined with other things

Drinking soda regularly is much worse for you than drinking alcohol regularly.

The main reason Dennis Miller failed as a MNF cohost is that 80% of Americans are morons. This percentage is higher among football fans.

M. Night Shyamalan and Cameron Crowe are the two worst "popular" directors of the past 50 years. Anybody who enjoys Sixth Sense or Almost Famous has absolutely no taste in cinema.

Robbie Dupree was the most underrated musical artist of the late 70s-early 80s and could have been a superstar if he had had more of a gimmick (or any gimmick) and/or better representation. Change "late 70s-early 80s" to "late 80s-early 90s" and insert "The Smithereens were" instead of "Robbie Dupree was" and the sentence remains true.

Wal-Mart ain't all that bad. I can get the basic necessities of life way cheaper there than at anywhere else, and as far as them underpaying employees...I don't work there, and none of my family or friends work there, so I don't really care. On a related note, Aldi is an outstanding grocery store for people who don't need to be waited on hand and foot. You can get just about anything you need for around 50% of the regular-store price if you 1) aren't too lazy to bag and box your own groceries, and 2) don't worship the label on an item.

Speaking as a former manager for them, I can assure you that Barnes and Noble, which is considered to be one of the "friendlier" big box stores out there, is actually one of the more predatory and customer-unfriendly corporations in the US. From what I know, Borders isn't much better.

"Mulholland Drive" was the greatest film of the last 15 years, and there is no big mystery to it. The first hour and a half of the film is a dream, the last half hour is the reality. That's it. Lynch is just throwing the side weird stuff in to f*** with us.

Only certain types of sushi are good, and caviar tastes like...well...salted fish eggs. Nothing special.

Radiohead is overrated. So are the Flaming Lips.

Up until about 1990, the Top 40 Billboard Pop songs have, in general, held up much better over time than most of the "underground" or "alternative" music of the time. There are exceptions, but for the most part it's true. From 1991 or so on, the opposite is true. This, to me, is the real legacy and importance of Nirvana and the grunge movement.

This country is ungovernable in any case, so it really doesn't matter in the long run who you vote for as President.

_Gone With The Wind-, despite its so-so reputation as a -book-, is actually one of the 10 or 20 best novels ever written by an American.

As long as both of you are being honest with one another, the Internet is probably the -best- place to meet a future life partner.

While the UK version of The Office is certainly a good show that I'd rank in my all-time Top 100, it is nowhere near the greatest comedy to come out of Britain, much less of all time. Its US version is just as good and may eventually surpass it.

I don't like the money shot in porn, and prefer soft-core.

People with big muscles are generally not as healthy as they think. Diet soda is worse than regular.

AIDS in Africa is almost complete BS. Heterosexual AIDS in the US is almost complete BS. AIDS probably isn't quite what we think it is.

Nicholson's Joker is horrendous and is the most overrated performance ever.

Chemotherapy is no good.

Rocky Balboa is better than 2, 3, 4, or 5 and it isn't close. This is agreed upon by critics.
