What's with all the fighting in NHL?

I don't watch hockey, but from those videos it seems like relatively gentlemen like fighting. It always broke down to one on one when there wasn't a pile and two dude locked up swinging at each other just instantly stopped swinging and backed up when someone ended up on the ground next to their skates.

Personally, i think they should be penalized for not fighting, just my 2c

Fighting seems dumb to me, go watch a boxing match or wrestling or some other cretin sport.

A fight is only cool in baseball or basketball because it's not supposed to happen and you get to see a bunch of rich crybabies beat the [censored] out of eachother for ~20 seconds before it's broken up.

When it's allowed..... blah

Hockey score goal, fist pump touch gloves return to buisness.

Football touchdown pull out pen/ cell phone/ do a dance/ dive into the crowd flaunt around for 5 minutes etc.

Baseball hit a hr watch it marvel at it walk around the bases like you are the best ever then do some insulting pre fabed hr handshake - curtain call even if the hr was in a 0-0 game in the 2nd inning
