guys he has midpair against a 1/3 stack. he played it optimally if he's comfortable getting this guy's stack in, which he clearly is (and i would be too)

I don't know if this is a leak, but I would never fold here against a donkish shortstack. If hero had Ad5d or something like this, and he c/c, c/ced everyone would be saying standard, but his hand is of the same relative strength here and everyone is yelling fold. I don't get it.

Are you doing this because villian has a shortstack? |

imo this is half the reason playing shortstacked is profitable.

who bets 3 into 9 in a pathetically dry board, then pushes the turn for twice pot [/ QUOTE ] Alot of bad shortstacked players that wants to decide if you have the Ace with a good kicker or not by betting 3 and then move the rest in on turn with Ace rag if you just called on the flop. I see this kinda play alot on 100$ NL games. |

Dbuster Are you doing this because villian has a shortstack? [/ QUOTE ] ummmmmmmmmmm what? im not doing it because of him being short - i check the flop so i can get value from worse hands on turn and possibly river, i call the flop bc he bet 1/3 pot, i call the turn because he's bluffing. could i call the turn if he had 100bb? probably not. but if he overpotted it, i might. |
