Default Hand vs El_Diablo

So ya this hand is against he-who-must-not-be-named, 2+2's Lord and savior.

This hand happened a week ago n I didn't feel like posting it, but a similar situation happened recently and I wanna check what people think.

I don't know how El_D views me, but I view him as tight and not willing to make a big move (ha so I guess that should make this hand pretty easy). In this particular session, I'm playing pretty tight/passive...sometimes when I run bad I cut down the amount of risks I take (eg- try not to make big calls, big bluffs, etc). Ok on to the hand...

Again, this happened a week ago, so I may slightly mess up the board...but I think I remember it pretty well.

Effective Stack: ~450.00 HU

Hero raises to 12 on the button with 55, EL_D calls (he hardly ever 3-bets vs me).

Flop-- 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

EL_D checks, Hero bets 24, EL_D raises to 66, Hero calls.

Turn-- 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

EL_D checks, Hero bets 125, EL_D calls.

River--8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

EL_D pushes, Hero?

I sorta wanna check if my assumptions with some ppl here:

1. From EL_D's perspective I might have a flush.
2. EL_D would never push a 4 in this spot if he somehow has one, and prolly wouldn't push a 9 if he somehow has one.
3. EL_D would only make this flop raise with the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], a flush, a straight, or a set.
4. However, given how he played the hand, his most likely holdings are an Ace high flush or a missed A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

So, given assumption 4...how do you go about deciding whether to call in a situation like this? If I think it's slightly more likely that he has an Ace high flush, should I fold?

I feel like it's so easy to convince yourself in a spot like this that a tight opponent would make a big move here.

Tough hand, I think I check the turn and call any river.

dont you think you should three-bet the flop, since he probably commits himself with QQ, KK, and AA that have one spade?

i would be looking to try and get it all in on the flop...you have very good equity against his range

GB,

"pretty tight/passive"

FWIW, that's how I viewed you, also viewed you as a "thinking player."

GB,

Also,

"2. EL_D would never push a 4 in this spot if he somehow has one, and prolly wouldn't push a 9 if he somehow has one."

those are both often false assumptions.

"1. From EL_D's perspective I might have a flush."

That's also a false assumption. I assume that there's no way someone can open and then flop a flush.

"3. EL_D would only make this flop raise with the A, a flush, a straight, or a set."

That's not true on the flop (wide range I could do it with there). It's probably true after I call the turn, though.
