Notes on Villian: slowplayed top two on drawy board via check/call flop and min cr turn. 19/6/2/50

I don't like this. I don't think c/c with top 2 in a different hand has much to do with this, the more important question is have you seen him c/r often and light? If so, nice-ish I suppose. If not (which I sense is the case), I don't like it.

sure. Its fun to play some poker once in a while.
would suck getting it in against JXss though. |

I also get the extra benifiet of bluffing AJ, KJ, QJ occasionally. If I put him squarely on AJ, KJ, QJ, I probably wouldn't make this move as I think he would call to often; but I think he folds these every now and again. |

I understand the purpose of the push but you have no idea if hes only raising combo draws or if he is raising both naked draws, small pocket pairs. You are also behind 56ss and well behind JXss.
all you know is that this is likely not a monster but if hes only raising combo draws then this isn't a great play. |

He couldn't have AJ or set? Jus b/c he slowplays top two pair on drawy flop by smoothcalling and minraising turn doesn't mean he couldn't be playing faster here, and now he is OOP vs the preflop raiser, while before, he couldve had position, explaining his tricky smoothcalling. He could easily have 56ss, 89ss, T8ss, or JQ, which are often limp/calling preflop raise ranges and almost always c/r this flop. I don't lke this play I think you're getting called- anyone bad enough to limp preflop and call a pf ray OOP won't fold top pair or HUGE draw...
