When trying to load the card on the PayTru site, I get the following:

"Loading not available for this card"
and
"Credit card loading not available for this card"

When signing up thru the pokerstars cashier, make sure your middle initial is in there, as paytru seemed to assign me a random one.

[/ QUOTE ]

My middle initial is in my stars profile and they still assigned me a random one - probably wont matter in the grand scheme of things I think.

[/ QUOTE ]

I called them and they changed it right away for me. I didn't want to use the Visa at a retail place, have them check my DL, and wonder why the middle initials didn't match up.

this is stellar and I love this option already.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pokerhost had an atm card exclusive to them a few years ago when I played there. It worked very well and was one of the few things I liked about them. Not sure if they still have it or not.

And I love this option too. It's perfect for an SSNL'er who takes out $1k at a time. I don't know about the fish and their deposits, but as far as withdrawals go, it looks good.

Also:

Cliff notes on fees for the withdrawer

--$2.50 charged at the ATM when you withdraw ($500 per day limit)
--$2.95 monthly maintenence fee when you have a balance on your card.

And Stars picks up the 4% +$0.50 "load fee"

So if you withdraw $1005 from Stars, you'd have $1000 in cash within 48 hours. (if you know where the no fee ATM's are, or else bank ATM's may charge you a buck or two as well)

Can you load this directly from a US bank account or use a bank account based debit card to load?

yes. i had this same problem yesterday. i e-mailed them and the response was, surprisingly, not helpful. the representative didn't understand what i was talking about. maybe he was not yet informed about the new deposit option at the time.

anyway, i e-mailed them again today and hopefully it can get straightened out this time.

I'm not getting the option but my Stars address is not in the USA. I will try emailing support to see what I can do. Not that I will necessarily use it but it would be a nice option in case I need it.

It's coming to players in waves from what I understand. I still don't see the option either.

Good read, sir.

We often do new things like this in pieces. It's not that we expect problems - we test it pretty significantly before we roll it out to any customers. But needless to say, if something is going to go wrong, we'd prefer it go wrong with 100 people than with 5000. The good news is that I'm not aware of any major bumps in this road (and I'm sure we'd have heard about such from you folks and from KT the deposit guru). So I expect to see the rollout wave continued unabated.

Best regards,
Lee Jones
