bubble maths please
Simple ? for the SNGPT folks:
4 handed bubble std 50/30/20 Hero: 4500 BB: 2500 other 2 stacks: 3000 100/200/25 level Hero is first to act with Axo and raises 600 (pot 1000) folded to BB who jams BB range: yy+, ay+ where y>x so Hero is a dog 1500 back to Hero in a 3500 pot call/fold? how close is this? how does it change with stack sizes? hope this isnt too general but this comes up a lot for me and wondering if I'm leaky here. $10-20 regs if it matters... |

Re: bubble maths please
This is very similar to a thread I started the other day where I had A4s UTG (4 handed). The consensus was to fold pf (don't raise UTG w/ A4s). As played, fold to the push.

Re: bubble maths please
If you are playing the $20s then SNGPT = <4 buy-ins, it will pay for itself very quickly.... really no excuses here!!
Here I fold PF and as played to the shove, with higher blinds and / or a shorty then shove depending on assessment of calling ranges not being too wide. It is more than a pot-odds question, more about not wanting give up your comfortable size stack with a hand that can be easily dominated... Cheers and GL, Mark |

Re: bubble maths please
wow i wouldn't have thought to fold this preflop. i'm gonna have to think that through a bit more.
I don't play SNGs as much as I used to honestly... as played could I convince someone to run EV for making this call with say me: a7o BB: a8+, 77+ SNGPT can do this right? Many thanks as this would help me think this through more. |

Re: bubble maths please
This isn't even close. It's a fold. What do you think he's shoving with here? Even if he has one of the only two worse A's, you're usually spliting.
Obviously risking your chip lead, on the bubble getting in as a 2-1 dog is not the correct play. |

Re: bubble maths please
in general it's pretty unacceptable to post a "please run this through sngpt for me" hand. that's not what's intended when you sell an individual a piece of software. learning to do the ICM math by hand, and then eventually buying the software yourself, will be a good thing for you.
