Default early to mid tournament, 3 limpers. 56 suited and 56 offsuite

According to HOH basic conservative strategy if there are 3 limpers in front you can play suited and unsuited connectors all the way down to 54.

Do you hold the same view? or is this read dependant etc.

how far in a tournament would you play this type of hand? early to mid, or all the way through?

Early, yes. Mid, not normally unless the M's are unusually high for the stage.

As long as limping isn't going to dent my stack, I'm definitely limping along here. It makes it even more inviting if one or more of the earlier limpers has you covered.

I'll probably make that same play at any point in a tournament. Flopping a big hand with 45s may have a little better implied odds later in the tournament, but they're still good enough to call with early on as well.

If any of the limpers overplay their hands post flop, I'd widen up my range a whole bunch here.

Early stages of a tournament where the blinds are low at a loose passive table is the best scenario for these types of hands.

As the blinds go up, these speculative hands go down in value, especially if the table starts to get aggressive.

How are the implied odds better when the stacks are shallower?

Mid I will aslong as I and one of the limpers have a big stack and neither of the blinds are shortstacked. Having said that mid tourney I prefer my suited cons a big higher 78-910 these low ones I often muck.

Im guessing he means people will be more likely to pay you off with top pair as the stacks get short in relation to the blinds. You still need deep stacks to win enough chips to make up for all the little losses though.

But you don't a) hit your big hand while b) someone else hits a good enough hand to call you NEARLY enough to make it profitable to play those with medium M's.
