I realize that this is complicated by the fact that I do have some outs against 6x. Maybe it's even close enough that the fact that I have a backdoor flush draw matters.

Then it's just a math problem no? Intuitively 5% is probably low enough that your play is best. Most of the time i don't think you 5% will be accurate though.
