Default $5NL 6max - facing aggro on turn with TPTK

Only been here for a few orbits and don't really have a read on villain.

Can I call this turn c/r or am I just spewing now? Should I have played the flop or turn different? Should I have checked behind on the turn instead of betting?

Default Re: $5NL 6max - facing aggro on turn with TPTK

Your flop and turn bets are kind of weak, which is why he might have decided to pull some crap on you. Bet closer to .45 on the flop and about .85 on the turn.

He is only a crappy 1/2 stack, and thus if you call you will automatically get a showdown without having to fear another shot from him. You can usually take these guys for their word (they don't like the flop too much but seem to like the Q). As played you should call. It's only .87 more and the pot is now 3.39 which is better than 3:1 odds. If you are good 1/3 of the time here, you will already be making a profit.

If you wanted to get away from this, then you could check for pot control. i don't think you should in this case though.
