Default $10 mtt , monster draw, overbet best way in this situation?

http://www.pokerhand.org/?837683

This is rebuy tournament and I would play this hand same way in that tournament, but say it were regular tournament, is this good play? I personally think that there is no sense over bet this pot, you could do the same with raising the pot on flop. I dont think that this is bad play because your hand is so strong but maybe better way would be put a normal sized raise there?

lol massive over-bet with 8 high. I'm not sure who played worse, but I def. like the outcome.

Outcome IS amusing. During rebuy period, I gleefully shove there. Post-rebuy period, I don't mind getting my chips all in, though I definitely prefer to be the raiser. No need to do such a monster overbet, though, it basically screams flush draw. Would prefer to see a raise to like 500.

His call seems clearly worse to me than the overbet, though, as he CALLED with FIVE high. But during rebuy period, whatever. Preflop call would be very questionable post-rebuy, but I don't mind it pre. I think this hand is much less awful than it would be in a freezeout or post-rebuy period; pre, it's just standard mania.

Well, your opponent came out with a preflop bet which you called(perhaps your biggest mistake if post re-buy). he/she then made the continuation bet of 150, giving you around 3:1 pot odds which is pretty decent for your flush and straight draw (15 outs = approx 2.:1 odds). A re-raise may be an ok play, but all-in, why? He was the lead off bettor, and by raising around 600 (about 1/3 of his stack and just over the pot) you would have been able to get out the same info as an all-in and you could easily lay your hand down later.

Based only on this one hand its kind of tough to say whether or not you were right. Was your opponent overly aggressive? than you may have been justified with the all-in. But I like the 500-600 over the top here (based on this hand) because it leaves you a back door, and after all if you did not connect by the river you only had an 8 high.

Still, if I raised him and he would move over top all in I wouldnt lay this hand down. My hand is too strong for that. Btw this isnīt my hand this is my friends hand.
