Default x64 Compatibility

I just ordered an Intel 975XE "Bad Axe" motherboard along with a Intel Core 2 Duo E6700. This will be my first motherboard which supports 64 bit processing. I have the Windows Vista Ultimate x64 DVD so I am thinking I might finally make the jump. I should also add I have 4 GB of RAM of which I have only been able to truly use 3GB under the 32 bit architecture; that is the main reason I want to make the switch, to use the full 4 GB.

Anyways, I am basically looking for a trip report of someone that is currently running a 62 bit OS whether it be Vista or not. I'm specifically looking for Poker software compatibility issues. Or if there are any other major common software that has problems?

Any and all advice, stories, warnings, etc are welcome and appreciated.

Default Re: x64 Compatibility

I'm currently running Vista 64-bit on a computer with the following specs:
- dual 3.0 ghz Intel Xeons
- 2 gb of ram
- two 150gb WD raptors, one for the OS and one for postgresql

So far, I've run into the following problem that I have no idea how to fix. Occasionally, when I'm playing poker, it will blue screen. But I'm pretty sure it has not blue screened while doing anything else (and I leave my computer on like 95% of the time), so I'm almost 100% sure it's something I'm running while playing poker.

The software I usually run while playing is:
- Poker Tracker
- PokerAce HUD
- PokerStars Client
- AHK Scripts (BetPot, PartyKeepLobby, StarsAutoReloader)

For a little while, I was trying to not use certain AHK scripts to try to single out what exactly is causing the blue screen. But it's kind of annoying to not use a very useful script just to wait for the next blue screen occurrence. I wonder if there's a way to log crashes and try to figure out what's causing it.

So yeah, take from that what you will.
