XM Radio help needed......FM Adapter? WTF?
It turns out that I was getting really bad static because I didn't have the FM modulator hook up. The guy at Best Buy hooked it up and it sounds better now, but he said that to get a super clear sound, I would need the direct connect adapter hook up thing that they were out of. Apparently, when this is used, you don't need to plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet and the sound is static free.
Anyone know exactly what part he is talking about? Also, if I get this part and hook it up, can I still use my radio as a FM radio too? |

Re: XM Radio help needed......FM Adapter? WTF?
If I'm understanding what you're talking about, it's one of these. It hardwires the connection into your deck, which can or cannot do depending on the type of deck you have.
If it works, it'll just be like any other normal input to your deck (such as an ipod) and everything else will work on your deck just fine. BTW, for those who haven't noticed, XM and Sirius look like they're going to merger. They have a deal done in principle. |
