Re: best super mario game
I'm ignoring the question and switching my answer to just the "Actual Super Mario games." No Kart or Baseball or whatever, because that's what I read it as at first when I replied and I don't feel like thinking about whether or not I liked something like Super Mario RPG more than Mario Kart.
3 is the winner for me...with 64 as a close second. Someone mentioned Sunshine and I thought it was underrated by many people (it had some excellent parts, but wasn't "complete" enough). |

Re: best super mario game
Super Mario World All-Stars for SNES
Super Mario Bros. 1/2/3 + Lost Levels + Super Mario World (SNES). Such a good game. |

Re: best super mario game
Out of those I have played, Mario 3 is the winner by far.

Re: best super mario game
Also I'm pretty sure that when SM3 came out, you couldn't save it and had to beat it the whoel way through in one sitting. This was either a long process (playing through whole game) or forced you to warp, which is cheap. With save states and such , it is even better but I'd still rather play World. SM3 did have that awesome giant level, though.

Re: best super mario game
Super Mario 64 - It really isn't close to me, though that is probably due to the fact that it was the first Mario I played.
It's one of the games I can still play today regardless of the graphics. No other game I've played has had the free-roaming levels and total diversity throughout. |
