Re: 5/10 NL how would you play it?
It's not an automatic push, but generally you're happy to get it all-in. They could have a set, or a better flush draw which are the hands you really fear. Don't just make a massive push all-in because you have a straight-flush draw. You played this fine, and lost a coinflip. You got a little unlucky but not much.

Re: 5/10 NL how would you play it?
why are people saying he played it fine post-flop. I'd bet/3-bet all-in or make a much bigger check-raise. OP's check-raise from 80 to 200 is way to small.

Re: 5/10 NL how would you play it?
just raise to $333 next time
the raise to $200 leaves you in an awful spot on the turn when he just calls with all the dead money, you'd be stupid to fold your hand, at any point you have 8 outs to the nuts, and another 7 that are probably good, and when they're not, you have pair outs |

Bet-3bet is way better than CR. You want to be the one who puts it in, because it gives you folding equity in a pot where you probably are about even money. |

[/ QUOTE ] i think a check/raise is much better here, since we can use our relative position to get more dead money in the pot this is, of course, unless PFRer doesn't CBet here that often, 4 way |

Re: 5/10 NL how would you play it?
There will seldom be dead money in the pot. Nobody calls PF raiser who bets flop in 4-way with less than 2 pair or good draw like FD. If its draw, you might be drawing to 4 outs.
You don't want to raise, if there is bet and raise/call on the flop. Furhermore, PF raiser doesn't bet in a 4-way pot with overcards. I think hero wants to put the money in against PF raiser, but not against PF caller, because its stronger hand too often. Also giving free cards is bad, because it makes heros hand worse if turn doesn't hit and kills the action more. Betting might take the pot down right away and not let anybody draw. Also makes it easier to get it in against PF raiser. I don't think this is as clear spot as everyone thinks. I also think PF raiser played his aces terribly. |

p.S My wife keeps nagging me for bad play [/ QUOTE ] Lol, does your wife play? I'd fold pre-flop here. But on flop I'd get in.....fast. Plus, this flop play is probably good for your image. |
