The over the table dunk was more about the form. I agree it wasn't mind blowing or anything. But it was [censored] pretty looking. And he took off from pretty far out, too.

The side of the backboard was better than the Nash thing because of what Gerald did with it. He two handed windmilled that thing while looking down into the hoop.

He really makes dunking look easy, and I look forward to him defending the title.

I feel like Howard was slighted and Nate and GG were overrated. That being said, GG won the competition and deservedly so.

1. Get the WNBA out of it completely it's just shameless cross promotion for a garbage league that would be shut down if the NBA didn't keep trying to save it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I actually enjoyed that part.

Kapono scored 24 in his last round, which the announcers mentioned was a final round record (tied with Mark Price). Gilbert scored 19 while shooting his last rack one handed.

Kapono won the 3pt contest, Arenas didn't "choke again."

NATE'S BUNNY HOP NIXED

The NBA's defending slam-dunk champion, Nate Robinson, had another trick up his sleeve for Saturday's slam-dunk event at Thomas & Mack Center.

The 5-foot-7 New York Knicks star was at Western High School's gym Friday practicing a routine that had him leap over a Playboy Bunny dealer who was seated at a blackjack table inside the foul lane.

Robinson won the title last year by leaping over NBA legend Spud Webb from near the free-throw line. Webb won the 1986 slam-dunk title.

However, this year's Bunny hop got nixed by the Knicks, for safety reasons.
