I just thought I would throw this question out there...
From reading books/watching dvd's and then watching the player on television, what players do you think play the closest to the style they teach? |

I would say Phil Gordon (Little Green Book) and Dan Harrington (HOH trilogy) play exactly the style they teach. Both do not hold back in describing there play and strategies

I've seen TJ Cloutier make plays that are the opposite of what is written in the various McEvoy/Cloutier books, but he has probably never read those books

OTOH, only so much of that which can be fleshed out in a book. |

Tom McAvoy, although I think he recently started opening up his game more.

Howard Lederer seems to play pretty close to the style he teaches. His pre-flop play (especially early and middle) seems very similar and a lot of the nuances he suggests, he does seem to incorporate in his game.
I saw him chatting on Full Tilt a while back and he said something about how a lot of players have started to play him differently, since his dvd's came out. |

I would add Jim Brier to this list.
