Why has the market given up on 1920x1200 laptops?
Been researching for a few days and am incredibly disappointed at how there is absolutely no choice in the high res laptop market. HP doesn't have one, it seems like Sony doesn't have one. When I walk into a future shop/best buy/sony style, they don't have one.
Basically Dell is the only game in town. Anyone know why is that? I thought we lived in a market economy with healthy competition....

most people don't want a four-hundred-pound laptop with a screen resolution so high they can't read anything unless it's in 48-pt type.

apparently beavis doesnt even go to the own site that he posts
WSXGA+ 1680×1050 same with rokey's alienware 19” Wide Screen WSXGA+ 1680 x 1050 you people are worthless

most people just complain that the font is too small... laptops are aimed at the masses, not the 4-tabling poker pro.
for most people, SXGA is more than enough. It is more difficult and expensive to produce a UXGA panel, especially ina 15.4" or 17" display

I got a Dell inspiron 9300 last year capable of 1920x1200 res and now that I don't play that much poker, I wish I didn't get this thing. What a beast it is.
