Not surprising - banks can and will seize the proceeds of criminal activity.

No, they can't, and no, they didn't. Good effort, though.

Yeah, because instead of having police and a DA and a judge with a jury, the bank simply decides what is criminal and grabs the money. LOL

about 95% of the world's population would gladly trade places with you in an instant, and they'd get the good end of the bargain by a long shot.

man, i wish i could sell my US Citizenship on Ebay.

qft

There is absolutely nothing stopping either of you from moving to Cuba, or Rwanda, or Afghanistan, or the Sudan, and renouncing your citizenship, if it's that worthless to you.

Yeah, I thought so.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didnt say it was worthless, I said I wanted to sell it on Ebay at a fair market price. If it is special as you think it is, then I gotsta get paid.

Honestly, the US is so foriegner friendly in terms of land ownership and business that it is hard to imagine that citizenship in several other countries wouldn't be more valuable at a fair market price.

I'm not familiar with banking laws AT ALL.

Can they just seize funds based on what you say?

If I told the teller at my bank, "Yeah, my drug-trafficking and prostitution-ring is sure paying off nicely. Look at all this money I gots!!" can they really do anything about it other than just closing my account and sending me a check because they no longer want my business?

Yes, they can file an SAR on you, and then Law Enforcement will see it and say, "It is just that stupid Micro Bob screwing around again".

US Bank closed your account because it was linked to internet gambling. But my check from Pokerstars was drawn on US bank.

Oh, well. Banks will screw you any way they can and some ways they shouldn't.
