I don't think Matusow is implying that online poker is fixed. I think he's saying that it's not real poker. Most likely he's saying this is because he couldn't get a tell or see how strong/weak his opponent is. Similar to how some people say MTT is not real poker.

Obviously Full Tilt wants him to say stuff like that, so that when the railbirds that constantly watch him for this kind of chat get their paychecks they just throw it right in FTP.

I would be hard pressed to believe Full Tilt would look down upon anything Matasow says, the more the better from a business standpoint.

I'd imagine in online games they are, but I don't think most online players regularly dominate the "live pros." The best online players may be as good as most pros but I don't think your average 25-50 player is as good as most quality pros. I'm not talking about the entertainment pros like Moneymaker, Chacon or whoever, those guys are mainly around for entertainment.
